The BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy course is well respected in the UK and is gaining considerable respect globally. As a UK honours degree it has internationsl recognition as a higher education qualification. You will be able to pursue an exciting career as a nutritional therapist with increasing opportunities arising in today's health concious society.
The course is taught by a committed and experienced team of educators and mentors from CNELM. The course has a strong nutrition science base and this is complimented by around 500 focused clinical hours which includes time spent completing clinical assessments. You will be taught important coaching skills to help clients make sustainable diet and lifestyle changes and will be given the opportunity to take an extra-curricular short course to become qualified as an NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) Life Coach. NLP skills are transferrable into many other professions and work enviroments.
You will be registered as a CNELM student via CNELM's flexible study option which enables students to gain online access to academic lectures. CNELM will also ensure that you are registered with Middlesex University for the final award during your first term of study.
You will, like all CNELM students be given direct access to all online lectures. We at TrainE-TraidE provide you with the opportunity to view online lectures together at TrainE-TraidE enabling you to study as a group.
If you move abroad or are unable to attend TrainE-TraidE you will, like all CNELM students continue to be able to access online lectures independently. As a student following a flexible study option you are still required to complete all assessents within the framework of the course requirements and demonstate the learning outcomes for each module.
In future and subject to Middlesex University approving TrainE-TraidE as a site to deliver the course, and minimum number of students at TrainE-TraidE, CNELM will also teach required attendance coaching and clinical modules as well as specifc days of other modules at TrainE-TraidE.
You will be interviewed by a member of staff from CNELM at TrainE-TraidE to assess your suitability for the course. Chemistry and Human Biology at level 3 (A level or equivalent) are prerequisites for acceptance on the course. For those candidates that do not have these qualifications, CNELM will provide an access level course in Chemistry and Human Biology. For mature students there is an Assessment of Prior and Experiential Learning (APL/APEL) where any prior learning can be formally accredured; this can lead to exemption from some modules or Fast Track study options to postgraduate qualifications with CNELM.
