Interior Design

Students will have the opportunity to:

• explore their creative potential through applied art and design learning
• engage with current industry practice and contextualise their learning across a range of creative industry sectors
• develop their portfolio of skills and knowledge through incremental and individualised learning programmes within the framework
• progress to employment within the creative industries

This course focuses on developing drawing and modelling skills which are needed to plan and design interior environments.

Skills developed on this course include:

• Drawing
• Sketching
• Model-making
• Computer Aided Design for Interior Design
• Design Skills
• Portfolio building

Based around a series of creative design projects, the course introduces the main ideas and skills to practice interior design.

Assessment is through project based assignments.

Throughout the course candidates are supported by lectures, studio projects, workshops and tutorials.

Entry Requirements:

Recent design or art experience is not necessary, although candidates should be aware that this is a demanding programme requiring commitment and dedication. 

Applicants will be required to attend an interview.
