This course is designed for instructors wishing to work with low risk ante and post natal clients. It is a two day intensive course and includes an invigilated case study exam at the end of the second day. Candidates must have a valid level 2 REPs qualification before completing this course.
During pregnancy, many women will be unsure of the appropriate exercise techniques to keep both their babies and their own health to an optimum. Following birth, many women wish to embark on a new fitness programme to remain fit and healthy but have to now consider changes that have occurred to their body. (Post natal). This specialised workshop will enable candidates to deliver expert advice to low risk ante/post natal clients, expanding their expertise in other areas and allowing them to work with a wider variety of specialist clients.
Candidates will look at anatomical changes that occur during pregnancy, as well as physiological adaptations and psychological considerations of pregnancy. On completion of this course, candidates will also be able to deliver specific abdominal training recommendations for expecting mothers.
