Anatomy & Physiology

This award is the 'foundation' upon which all other Complementary, Beauty and Sports Therapy awards are based. TrainE-TraidE offers this award as a level 3 Science which is often accepted by other institutions in place of Biology A level for further courses of study.

Units covered include:

• The Skeletal System
• The Muscular System
• The Skin
• The Cell
• The Circulatory and Lymphatic Systems
• The Neurological System
• The Endocrine System
• The Respiratory System
• The Digestive System

Assessments takes the form of a one hour Multiple Choice paper comprising of 50 questions on all aspects of the syllabus.

The qualification is suitable for candidates wishing to embark on an occupational path within the complimentary therapies field. In addition, individuals involved in fitness training or nutrition would benefit from knowing about the body and how it works.

Upon completion of this award candidates can progress onto Level 3 qualifications in Holistic Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage.

What are the entry requirements?

It is recommended that candidates should have achieved a level of education equivalent to 5 GCSE's, grades A-C preferably in English and Science. However exceptions will be made for candidates with appropriate life skills.
