Career Guidance is the use of information, assessment, advice and direction to lead to occupational choices and employment opportunities.

What does TrainE-TraidE offer?

TrainE-TraidE offers bespoke guidance interviews where a career specialist will work individually and confidentially with you, to explore career options, courses, training and employment opportunities.  Making such decisions is your ‘personal responsibility’ and the interview is structured to encourage an active and participative approach to career planning.

What can you expect to gain from the interview?

You will leave the interview with an action plan detailing outcomes from the meeting, agreed initial goals, a clearer idea of your strengths and the careers open to you.

What else is available in Career Guidance?

TrainE-TraidE offers the following options to complement the career guidance interview.

A Career Management Programme – this on-line programme will assess your responses to a number of questions to produce a list of the most likely occupation that will suit you, together with details of what each profession involves and the routes to entry for it. 

Psychometric testing – this will be recommended to you at interview, where appropriate.  The Psychometric test we use at TrainE-TraidE gauges occupational interests and aspects of personality preferences.

CV writing, Interview skills and job readiness – TrainE-TraidE offers workshops as well as one-to-one sessions to help you with the life skills necessary for an effective job search.

Job placement programme – we have a jobs database utilizing our extensive business contacts, where we can place candidates once we have met with them and assisted with their cv and interview skills.
